About Hagalas:<\/strong><\/p>\n Hagalas in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4-based melodic death metal force. Five members and a lot of fun. The band was originally formed in 2016 but took it shape around 2021 when three new songs saw the darkness. Next in line is the explosive track “Meta Self,” addressing contemporary social media culture and the hedonistic, egocentric worldview it creates. The third track, the powerful “Hope Is a Lie,” with its catchy chorus, delves into the misery of life, destiny, and the futility of resistance. Following that is “Succession,” the fourth track, narrating the lengths a person is willing to go to reach the top. Halfway through the album, the magnificent “Remembrance Fades” resonates, telling the story of a person who, in their last thought, understands the meaning of life amidst all its meaninglessness. The sixth track, “Insanity Hubris,” is a cry on the brink of violent madness. The seventh track, titled “Domesticated Violence,” addresses domestic violence and the resulting trauma. The eighth track is named “Derelict,” depicting the awakening to reality and the ease of denying it. The ninth and final track is called “Reprisal Scars,” a concluding tale of a person who has been exploited by a trusted individual.<\/span><\/p>\n The digital version of the album will be available for listening in its entirety in early September. An interesting aspect of the release is that fans can pre-order the physical version to be delivered to their homes on the release date of May 31, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n “We believe albums are enjoyable to listen to \u2013 and have traditionally been listened to \u2013 as complete entities. In these times of playlists and single-song golden ages, understanding album compositions in the form of sporadically released songs is quite impossible.
